About Us
Children's Rights in Wales has been designed to help local practitioners, policy makers, managers and strategists develop their understanding of children's rights and how to adopt a children's rights perspective to their work.
Children's Rights in Wales is produced by Save the Children with part funding from the Welsh Assembly Government. Many of our partners in particular the Wales UNCRC Monitoring Group are involved in the continued development of this web resource.
Save the Children works across Wales to eradicate child poverty, improve education, strengthen children's rights and encourage participation.
- We work with the Welsh Assembly Government and other partners to make sure it does everything it can to help children and families in poverty and to fully address children and young people’s rights.
- We promote and raise awareness of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
- We develop resources and provide training to help local authorities and other public bodies across Wales work effectively to improve the lives of children living in poverty and to mainstream children and young people’s rights.
- We help find solutions to the barriers facing poor children in education in Wales to reduce inequality in education.
